What is Mobile Counseling?
Services provided on-site, where life happens. Whether that is meeting at your home because an hour in your home environment will often provide more insight than many sessions in a clinical environment, or meeting at your office or other community location because privacy and convenience matters to you and you do not want to go into a busy mental health clinic.
Where do we meet?
We will meet where you feel comfortable and where it is convenient for you. The most common locations to meet are at people’s homes, businesses, and public use areas. However, we can meet anywhere that does not pose a safety risks or privacy issues.
What is Real Help's service area?
Real Help Counseling will provide services within 10 miles of Hannibal or Monroe City, including within Palmyra City Limits. Services outside of these areas can be discussed on a case by case basis.

Real Help Counseling can really be used for most any mental health or life circumstance. If you feel the support described on this page may be what you need, let us discuss and see how I can help you.
How can I help you?
Through the years I have been honored to work with hundreds of people and have found that every one of them was unique. Every one of them had a different story. When I hear those stories, their situation almost always makes sense - I could understand how they got to where they are now, which is one of the greatest clues as to how they can get to where they want to be. I will bring my training, experience, and desire to help to the table. You will bring yourself, your experiences and your hopes to the table. We will then build a relationship based on the sole purpose of helping you become the person you desire to be. We will look at the whole of your situation together, we will develop strategies together, and we will work together toward your growth and improvement. Counseling is a collaborative process that we will tailor to your specific needs and preferences.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule your appointments online or by calling 573-600-2462. Appointments outside of scheduled availability can be discussed.
Why don't you accept insurance?
In order to provide the best service as privately as possible, Real Help Counseling works with private pay clients only - we do not accept insurance.
Insurance typically requires a mental health diagnosis, private information to be shared with the insurance company, and specific length of session, number of sessions, and session regularity. Services provided through Real Help Counseling do not fit into this insurance model as these requirements do not put the welfare and progress of the client as the highest priority.
Considering many people have high deductibles, no insurance at all, or would like to keep their services more private and flexible, Real Help Counseling accepts private pay clients only. If you are in need of mental health services that accept insurance or even possibly have reduced or free services, please see this list of resources.
Real Help Mobile Counseling can provide you with a document called a superbill which can be turned into your insurance company for possible reimbursement for out of network services. You will need to check with your insurance provider for details on this.
